Obligatory TO Post

There’s really not much to say that hasn’t been said by everyone else. TO got cut. This relatively uninteresting and predictable story is going to get beaten to death by the 24-hour sports news cycle over the next three weeks. Beyond the obvious schaudenfruede, there remains only one thing here: how long till the Skins tender him $78mm over 3 years?

Post if you think you know where he’s going next; you’re just as likely to be right as ESPN.

Update: I just thought of a terrifying (for Boston) scenario: swallowing TO and Starbury in the same 30 day period.  If the move made any football sense whatsoever, I’d say it was an 80% possibility.  TO could really use the image overhaul he’d get by going and being a model citizen in Boston, and Boston has decided, as a city, that it could rehab Amy Winehouse as long as Tom Brady/KG was in the locker room with her.

We know he’s going to a team thats at least close to contending if he has a choice, so that eliminates the Bengals. Well, with the exception of the Raiders, because that would just be too easy. But here’s a good one nobody’s saying. How about the Seahawks (if they can stand to have another player with the dropsies), but his and Houshmanzilly would make them a legit team.

Lions, just because they won’t be drafting one first over all.

  3. Andrew says:

I think it was a condition of Matt Millen’s firing that they have to pick a WR in the first round in his honor.

My completely uneducated guess would be Minnesota.

The dream situation (in terms of comedy) would be Carolina. Imagine the number of fist fights that would ensue when Steve Smith gets one too many balls thrown his way…

Minnesota would have been great if only Sage Rosenfels wasn’t primed to be their starter. TO needs a squad that has 0 great receiving options right now, is kind of desperate for attention, has a strong presence in the locker room, and is right on the verge of something.

Who fits this bill? Baltimore, TB, and even Washington are all pretty clear. Baltimore might actually work, because guys like Ray Lewis (recently re-signed) will keep him in check (by threatening violence against his person).

I could actually see a Barry Bonds situation here … nobody wants to touch him because it’s a locker room nightmare and he’s clearly on the decline.

edit i just read ESPN’s article and it looks like i plagarized the hell out of them with the ravens. gdi.

  6. Andrew says:

An issue with Baltimore though is that Harbaugh was with the Eagles when TO went TO.

Wow, we’re all idiots. The Bills? REALLY?
